This morning I used the 5 second rule. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, to get out of my warm bed. I stepped on the yoga mat for a bit, fed the little choocks, put on my coat, two knitted hats and two pairs of gloves, packed my camera and got on my bike to see the rising sun and the frost on the fields and water. It finally looks like winter.
Birds flew so low, geese, seagulls. man..I so love the sounds of the waterbirds… and I look silly to some I know, when I wave at the geese who do not fly back to the arctic anymore but do get restless in the evenings and mornings. They remind me of modern men behind their computers and central heating, dreaming of travel.
It was, still a bit dark but so beautiful and silent outside, I was happy I got out of bed so early. The only folk out there that early were a couple of churchgoers in their frozen cooky-tin cars. =)) It made me laugh, that image of serious people wearing thick dark coats and sternly looking dark hats, both sombrely peering through the bit of the car window they scraped free from ice because they so looked like cartoon people in doll cars. man I wish I had taken shots of them.
took others instead. =)
